Our Pawfect Life is a living journal for your dog. Every dog gets a free public journal you can start on the website with no purchase required — add photos, videos, dated entries, favourite things, and invite family to contribute.

Physical keepsakes are available too: an NFC paw keyring and a 3D-printed paw print, each linking to your dog's journal — either a QR code visitors scan with a smartphone camera, or an embedded NFC tag they simply tap their phone against. Either way, no app or account is needed to visit the journal.

On your dog's journal, you can share your favourite photos, write dated entries and favourite things, and invite friends and family to send Treats, Head Pats, Cuddles and more, leave guestbook messages, and celebrate every stage of your dog's life together.

Products with a QR code have it printed or engraved directly onto the item. When anyone scans it with their smartphone camera, they are taken directly to your dog's journal. There's no app to download and no account needed for visitors — it works instantly with any modern smartphone.

The QR code is permanent and unique to your dog's journal. Whether the product sits on your keys, on a shelf at home, or travels with you, anyone who discovers it can scan and visit the journal to see your dog's story. Some products use an NFC tag instead of a QR code — see the next question.

NFC (Near Field Communication) is a wireless technology built into most modern smartphones. Some of our products include an embedded NFC tag instead of a QR code, so visitors simply tap their phone against the product rather than scanning.

Simply hold your smartphone close to the NFC tag on the product and it will instantly open your dog's journal — no camera scanning needed. It's a seamless, almost magical experience. NFC works with most modern iPhones (iPhone 7 and newer) and Android devices.

If a visitor's phone doesn't support NFC, they can still visit the journal directly via any link you've shared with them.

Yes — every journal starts free, with no expiry date and no annual fee, whether or not you ever subscribe. If we ever had to close the service we'd tell you in advance and give you time to download everything.

Yes, absolutely! You can log in to your account at any time to update your dog's journal. Add new photos as you take them, update the bio, write new dated entries, or adjust any of the settings. Your journal is a living record that grows with your dog.

There's no rush, and no time limit. Your dog's journal is there whenever you want to come back to it — to add a new photo, a new milestone, or simply to look back on how far they've come. There's no limit to how often you can make changes.

Yes. Our Pawfect Life is for every dog, of every age and breed, from the day you bring them home through every stage of their life.

When starting your journal, you can select your dog's type and breed to personalise the experience. If your dog's type isn't listed, simply choose "Other".

Every Our Pawfect Life product, wherever you bought it from, ships with its own unique activation tag. Setting up your dog's journal takes just a couple of minutes:

1. Scan the activation tag on your product (or visit the printed link)
2. Create a free Our Pawfect Life account (or log in if you already have one)
3. Add your dog's details and choose your privacy settings

There's no order number or marketplace username to enter - the tag itself does the work, so it makes no difference where you bought it from.

If you order more than one product at once, all the tags in that order link to the same journal. For more than one dog, please place a separate order for each.

Your dog's journal is designed to be an interactive, living page where friends and family can come together to celebrate your dog's life. Visitors can:

• Browse photos and entries and read about your dog's personality, favourite things, and special moments
• Send a Treat, Head Pat, Cuddle, Belly Rub, Round of Applause or Good Dog — friendly interactions that appear on the journal
• Leave a guestbook message sharing their own memories and well wishes

Every interaction is a way for someone to show they care, and you'll be notified when your dog receives a new interaction or guestbook entry. It's a wonderful way to feel the support of those around you.

A free journal includes a profile photo, a cover photo, and 5 gallery photos — enough to give your dog's page a beautiful start.

Subscribers can upload an unlimited photo gallery plus up to 5 video clips, giving you the space to tell your dog's whole story as it unfolds.

Yes, you are always in control of what appears on your dog's journal. By default, all guestbook entries require your approval before they are visible to other visitors. You can review each message from your dashboard and approve or decline it.

If you'd prefer messages to appear immediately without approval, you can change this setting in your journal's configuration. You can also remove any previously approved message at any time.

Interactions are the ways visitors can show their love and support on your dog's journal. There are six types:

• Treat
• Head Pat
• Cuddle
• Belly Rub
• Round of Applause
• Good Dog

As the journal owner, you can choose which interactions are enabled on your dog's page. You'll be notified each time someone sends one, so you always know when someone is thinking of your dog.

Privacy controls are available as part of the annual subscription. With a subscription, you can set your journal to private or family-only, meaning only people you specifically approve will be able to view your dog's page. You'll have full control over who can and cannot access the journal from your dashboard.

Free journals are publicly accessible to anyone who has the link or scans the QR code on your product. This means friends, family, and anyone who encounters your product can visit and follow along.

At Our Pawfect Life, we believe that the bond between a dog and their owner is one of the most beautiful things in the world, and that sharing and celebrating that bond brings joy not only to you, but to everyone who knows and loves your dog.

Our free journals are designed to be open and welcoming — a place where friends, family, neighbours, and even strangers can discover and celebrate your dog's life. When someone spots a keepsake on your keys and scans its QR code, being able to read your dog's story and send a Treat is a lovely moment of connection.

We understand, however, that some owners prefer a more private journal, and we completely respect that. That's why privacy controls are included as part of the subscription, alongside other enhanced features like expanded photo storage, video uploads, and family contributor invites. It helps us keep the core journal free for everyone whilst offering additional features for those who want them.

By default, your journal is public, which means anyone with the link or QR code can view it. This includes people who scan or tap your product, anyone you share the link with, and visitors who find it via a search engine like Google — public journals are included in our sitemap so they can be indexed and found.

Visitors can view your dog's photos and entries, leave guestbook entries (which you can moderate), and send interactions like Treats and Cuddles. Only you can edit the journal content — visitors can only view and interact.

Yes, regardless of whether your journal is public or private, you always have full control over guestbook entries. By default, every guestbook message requires your approval before it becomes visible to other visitors.

You can review, approve, or decline messages from your dashboard. If you prefer a more open experience, you can enable automatic approval in your journal settings. You can also remove any approved entry at any time.

An account is required to start and manage your dog's journal. This ensures only you can edit and control your dog's page. Creating an account is completely free and only takes a moment — you can sign up with your email address or use your Google or Facebook account for one-click registration.

Once you have an account, you can manage all of your journals, view guestbook entries, and track orders from a single dashboard.

The annual subscription is £9.99 per year (region-priced at checkout), auto-renewing, and includes:

• Privacy modes — public, family, or private, with full control over who can view your dog's journal
• Family contributor invites — invite family members to add their own photos and entries
• Unlimited journal entries — the free tier is capped at 20
• A free breed-specific Dogsday birthday card every year at renewal (you pay P&P at your country's rate)

The subscription is entirely optional. Your free journal is fully functional on its own — the subscription simply adds extra features for those who want them.

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. There are no cancellation fees and no long-term commitments.

When you cancel, you'll continue to have access to all subscription features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your journal reverts to the free tier. Nothing is deleted, but gallery photos beyond the free limit of five are hidden until you resubscribe.

Your journal and all of its content will always remain online, even if you cancel. Nothing is ever deleted. Here's what changes:

• Your journal will become public again (if it was set to private or family-only), after a grace period
• Family contributor access will be deactivated
• The free-tier entry cap will re-apply, and you won't be able to add further gallery photos or videos until you resubscribe

Your core journal — including your dog's profile photo, cover photo, bio, guestbook entries, and all interactions received — will remain exactly as it is. If you ever decide to resubscribe, all your subscription features are restored instantly.

You can subscribe from your account dashboard. Payment is handled securely through Stripe, and you can use any major debit or credit card. The subscription renews automatically one year after your first payment, at the standalone annual price, unless you cancel first.

Your subscription covers all of the journals on your account, so if you have multiple dogs, you only need one subscription to unlock premium features across all of them.
